Snow Tails, Coming from Fragor Games

Snow Tails will be this year’s release from Fragor Games at Spiel 08 in Essen, Germany. Players control a husky sled dog team, and since huskies like nothing better than running, you need to keep firm control over your team and one hand on the brake. You play cards each turn to affect movement and braking, and if your dog teams aren’t balanced on the left and right, then your sled will drift sideways across the ice. Hit something – whether another player or a random tree – and your sled is damaged, restricting your movement in future turns. Pick up enough damage, and you’ll be watching the rest of the race.

Snow Tails includes eight straight tracks, four corner tracks, and two U-turns, all of which are double-sided, along with seven suggested courses. The game sells for €35 and will be published in a limited edition of 1,000 copies. To preorder, visit the Fragor Games website.
