Tales of the Arabian Nights, Good News and Bad
Artist Peter Gifford has posted new images from Tales of the Arabian Nights on his website, and they look pretty sweet, especially the cover. That’s the good news; the bad news is that this Z-Man Games’ new edition of Eric Goldberg’s well-loved design won’t be on sale at Gen Con 2008 as previously announced. While Zev says that he’ll likely have a mock-up copy on hand in August for the convention, the game itself won’t be released until approximately October.
This game has been updated on Gone Cardboard. Other Z-Man titles have been updated as well, with the biggest fallback possibly being Wasabi! to November/December.

Wow. Here is a tale in contrasts. The board is very nicely done. The box cover is… well...um, not so great. Not “clean” at all. But I do like the board. Posted by Ryan B. on Jul 18, 2008 at 07:08 PM | #

Just in time for BGG.con, now maybe Sterling won’t have to scramble for copies to teach the game for once. Posted by Sean Brown on Jul 18, 2008 at 07:17 PM | #

Ryan, I guess art is in the eye of the beholder after all—count me in the crowd that does not like the new board. I thought the box art was garish but fine overall. Posted by Diane Close on Jul 19, 2008 at 11:33 AM | #
