Ted Alspach Wrote a Book

Believe it or not, Ted Alspach does not create Board 2 Pieces for a living. He has a life outside games, and his latest project has just hit the bookshelves: Illustrator CS3 Bible. Ted has actually written several books about Adobe Illustrator, PageMaker, Photoshop, and other computer programs. Although the pool of game players and Illustrators users might be small, you might still want to head to the Amazon page for Ted’s book and check out the sample pages, specifically the section labeled “Excerpt.”

Says Ted, “I filled the latest edition of my Illustrator Bible with gaming images. The entire 16 page color section is all games/boards/boxes/promo stuff that I drew, as well as a few B2P comics—and there are hundreds of other game-related illustrations in the book, like meeples, game pieces, etc., all done in Illustrator CS3.”

Now that’s a sneaky marketing campaign…

Ted’s new book at amazon.com = $44.99
Seeing that it includes illustrations from his Age of Steam maps = Priceless
