The Long and Winding (Silk) Road: The History of Ted Cheatham’s and Bruno Faidutti’s Z-Man Release
Jonathan Degann may not post articles to his Journal of Boardgame Design very frequently, but whenever he does, readers are always in for a treat.
Degann’s best traits are thoughtfulness and thoroughness, and both of them are in evidence in his most recent post: The Designer’s Mind: Silk Road. Degann interviews designers Ted Cheatham and Bruno Faidutti and publisher Zev Shlasinger about the history of Silk Road, from the earliest gleam in Ted’s eye to its eventual appearance in print. A must read article for anyone even remotely interested in game design.

I completely agree with Eric’s assessment. This is a fascinating article and I can’t imagine every gamer not enjoying it immensely. Posted by Larry Levy on Jan 29, 2007 at 02:18 PM | #
