The next Carcassonne expansion - Carcassonne - Der Turm (Carcassonne - The Tower)

It appears that there is going to be yet another expansion for Carcassonne.  Carcassonne - Der Turm (Carcassonne - The Tower) is to be the fourth expansion for the series (not counting the small ones) and will be a 2-4 player game.  German publisher Hans im Glück will be releasing the game in February 2006.  We don’t have word yet as to whether Rio Grande Games will be doing an English version or not.

I am so confused as to what this product is. If it is an expansion than it wouuld be 2-5 as that is the number for the base game of Carcassone. This would be the 4th expansion (after Inns and Cathedrals, Traders and Builders and Princes and Dragons) But since it says it is a 2-4 player game that leads me to believe it is a seperate game like Hunters and Gatherers and the City. Along with the Castle this would also be Hans Im Glucks 4th seperate game of Carcassone. Can someone tell me which it is?

Mike -

I’m as confused as you are but this is the information we have on the game.  It may be inaccurate - we’ll have to wait until we get more information from Hans im Gluck.

Mike -

I’ve received updated information and it turns out the expansion actually handles 2-6 players.
