Tribune: Die Brutier Erweiterung, Coming at Spiel 08
Karl-Heinz Schmiel’s Tribune, a co-production between Schmiel’s Moskito Spiele and Heidelberger Spieleverlag that was later released by Fantasy Flight, topped the Fairplay poll at Spiel 07 as best rated game of the show. At Spiel 08, Schmiel and Heidelberger will debut an expansion for the game, Tribune: Die Brutier Erweiterung, that brings the potential number of players up to six.
No other details are available at the moment, but given that I’ve played this game more than two dozen times in the past two months, I’ll be sure to take a look at Spiel and report my findings during the show.

Nice. Comparing this cover to the one from the original game, I’m guessing we have 4 new factions added to the mix. Posted by Robert Ramirez on Oct 14, 2008 at 02:14 PM | #

While the luck factor is a bit higher than I like, the fact that this game plays in only 30 to 45 minutes, makes it one that gets played quite a bit in our group too. Posted by Surya Van Lierde on Oct 15, 2008 at 03:12 AM | #

I agree, Susan. The depth to time-to-play ratio results in a very satisfying game experience. If this game took 90 minutes to play, I don’t think I’d like it nearly as much. Posted by Kevin Wood on Oct 15, 2008 at 07:23 AM | #
