Tyrants of Rome, New from Lost Battalion

Lost Battalion Game has released a new title, Tyrants of Rome, and although tyrants are typically on the list of bad things along with splinters, cancer and melting ice cream, in this case you are apparently one of those aspiring to be a tyrant. From the game description on Lost Battalion’s website:

[Tyrants of Rome] offers 2-6 players the chance to struggle for supreme authority atop the declining Roman Empire, employing attacks by Legions, barbarians, bribes, assassins, and even the whims of the gods to weaken their opponents or strengthen themselves.

For more details on Tyrants of Rome, which contains 128 cards and retails for $35, head to the link above for an extended example of play with multiple card shots. (Is it just me, or does Fortuna resemble Gwen Stefani?)

Just a girl, or a budding tyrant...?

For more on Tyrants of Rome, specifically the history of some of the personalities who appear in the game, check out the July 2008 edition of Cher Ami, Lost Battalion’s newsletter. Previous newsletters have even more about the game.

This game has been added to Gone Cardboard.
