UK Games Expo 2008: Monastery, Confucius, Ice Flow, and More

The latest newsletter for the UK Games Expo, which takes place May 31-June 1 in Birmingham, promises at least three game debuts for the event: Monastery from Ragnar Brothers, Confucius from Surprised Stare, and Ice Flow from Ludorum. Role-playing fans will be able to test drive the 4th edition of Dungeons & Dragons prior to its release in early June 2008. Read the newsletter for more details and a tournament line-up.

Looking forward to seeing Ice Flow published - I playtested it quite a bit at ChiTag

I went to the UK Games Expo last year and had a great time. Met Martin Wallace, played Brass, met the Ragnar Brothers and saw a lot of new games. The venue is pretty nice, but little space there for open gaming. Lots of vendors and quite a few game companies (big and small). Picked up quite a few new games, mostly stuff that would not make it across the pond. Did get Phoenicia (released at the Expo), Fagan’s Gang (best of show - boardgames) and Take it to the Limit. The exchange rate makes it a little expensive, but Birmingham is a big town with lots to do.

Hey, I’m going back this year.
