Valerie Putman: Prose on Cons--BGG.con
I’m writing from Dallas, TX at the 2nd annual BGG.con. I have to say, this is by far the best public convention in the US for boardgamers. The sponsers are amazing and there are free games given away daily. There was an amazing puzzlehunt, a game show, a poker tournament, and more open gaming than you can imagine. The game library had almost 1200 games that you could check out and play including all the hotest new releases from Essen. Sadly, this is my 17th and final event of the year, but what a way to end the year.
Next week I’ll give you a final run down of the pros and cons of the events I attended this year, including a more in depth description of BGG.con. But I’m afraid there are few precious hours of gaming left and....
I’d rather be gaming,
Valerie Putman

Post Script I almost forgot to mention! I did get all the rules figured out for Notre Dame, the newest Alea game that will be put out by Rio Grande in the US. I was able to teach in several times this weekend and it was very well received! Posted by Valerie Putman on Nov 12, 2006 at 08:40 AM | #
