Valley Games Woos, Partners With Mystery Suitor
Valley Games has announced a partnership with a “major American publisher” as part of an overhaul of its 750 Specials preorder program, but who that publisher is will remain a secret for now as it apparently suffers from a medical condition that prevents repeated mentioning of its name within the first week of any calendar month. It’s a sickness, yes, but with time, special treatment and most of all love, this condition can be overcome.
The 750 Specials should reopen by the end of April, with all existing preorders cancelled as a security measure – since the data will now be handled by a different company – and preorders will then open for Titan and Municipium with the same discount and bonuses previously announced. When the games appear, customers in the U.S. will receive their titles from within the U.S., which should lower the shipping costs.

But no word on when pre-orders would be up for their other titles? :( Posted by Jon Theys on Apr 4, 2008 at 08:47 PM | #

Kevin Nesbitt has sent me this clarifying note: “We’ve set our credit card server with very high security settings, and rather than risk receiving back a whole bunch of declined credit cards – in addition to the oodles of people we expect will want to switch their order to the American company – it’s more reasonable to just cancel them all and start fresh.” Valley Games and the as-yet-unnamed American partner will each manage their own preorder data.
