With GatePlay, Game Designer Turns Game Retailer
Chris Handy—who designed the SimplyFun games Plext, Linkity and Handy—has started an online game retail site called GatePlay.com. Says Handy, “As a game designer, I have often introduced people to great gateway games, and then have failed in getting them to a webstore that doesn’t overwhelm them. Our hope is to streamline the process for people who are brand new to games...and outline the best games to start with, and the next games to work towards.” Small irony: Since Handy’s titles are all in the SimplyFun line, he can’t carry any of his own games…
